Complex environments such as areas along highways and railways, fish ponds and farmlands, construction sites, and mountainous forested regions are all dotted with overhead conductors, utility poles, transmission towers, and distribution transformer substations. However, for a long time, line maintenance teams across the country have been plagued by three major challenges: protecting lines from external damage, bird-induced short circuits, and nighttime early warning—have consistently plagued power supply operation and maintenance teams across the country. Taking non-trip faults in distribution networks alone, more than 70 percent are caused by external damage and bird-related incidents. Furthermore, accidents such as oversized vehicles crossing power lines at night, construction site cranes encroaching on lines, and fishing rods coming into contact with conductors frequently occur during periods of low light.

At present, many static warning signs are only visible during the day; standard aviation warning devices rely solely on reflective materials to provide early warning from high altitudes, but their large wind-exposed surface area makes them unsuitable for some older, thin-gauge power lines; and some bird deterrent devices installed on power lines can only mitigate bird-related damage, without also serving as warnings against external damage to the lines.

Faced with multiple operational and maintenance challenges—including the failure of nighttime warning systems for overhead power lines, frequent cases of external damage, short circuits caused by bird strikes, and the limited functionality of traditional protective products— Dingxin Smart has launched a compact anti-vandalism warning light for power lines. Product Overview

The anti-collision warning light is specifically designed for overhead power line applications. Utilizing microwave sensing technology, it can accurately detect moving objects such as people, birds, construction vehicles, and heavy machinery approaching the area. Once a moving object is detected entering the 5–10-meter risk monitoring zone, the warning light immediately triggers a high-intensity red and blue flashing light visible from a kilometer away, along with a 70-decibel high-pressure audio alert, providing proactive reminders and early warnings; Regarding voice content, the system supports custom MP3 voice recordings, allowing for tailored warning messages for different scenarios as needed, ensuring that warning information is clear and easily discernible.

In addition to microwave sensing, the anti-collision warning light integrates a 250 Hz–20 kHz ultrasonic bird deterrent module. With five switchable operating modes, it allows users to activate functions such as red or red-and-blue flashing warnings, voice announcements, 24-hour bird deterrence, and nighttime bird deterrence as needed; Equipped with a light-sensing intelligent control system, multiple units within a 30-meter range can synchronize their flashing, creating a continuous warning light strip along the entire route and exponentially enhancing the visual warning effect at a distance. With the included dedicated remote control, once the warning lights are turned on, individual units or the entire line can be remotely controlled without the need for pairing.

Powered primarily by solar energy, this device features a compact and streamlined design, an IP66-rated fully sealed dust- and water-resistant housing, and a narrow wind-facing surface, which significantly reduces wind resistance compared to traditional warning balls. Weighing just 485 grams, it can be evenly distributed along the entire length of the power line, filling the blind spots in the middle sections of the line that are currently not covered by tower markers or large warning devices.

The installation process supports live-line installation using drones. By mounting a specialized mounting adapter, drones can be used to precisely install conductors at high altitudes without the need to de-energize the power lines throughout the entire process. The operation can be completed solely by ground personnel, facilitating rapid, large-scale deployment.
